Wilhelmina
Downtown Oranjestad restaurant (est. 2015) with a tropical garden: seafood, Black Angus steaks and fresh pasta; dinner Tuesday to Sunday.
Wilhelmina is a downtown Oranjestad restaurant, open since 2015, serving international cuisine with a Caribbean touch in a dining room and a tropical "speakeasy"-style city garden. It is a dinner-only address away from the beach strip and overlooks B.J. Arends City Park.
What is on the menu?
The restaurant's website and the Aruba Tourism Authority describe an à la carte menu of fresh seafood, Certified Black Angus steaks and homemade fresh pasta, made with high-quality ingredients sourced from around the world, plus a cocktail bar. The tourism authority lists it as one of chef Dennis van Daatselaar's restaurants, and it is named after Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.
When to go
According to its website, Wilhelmina is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday to Sunday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the last seating at 9 p.m. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended; book by email or phone.
Combine it with Oranjestad
Wilhelminastraat is in the historic centre, so dinner fits neatly after an Oranjestad walking tour or a late-afternoon visit to Fort Zoutman. More in our Oranjestad guide.
