Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is set back from the beach on Bakval, in tropical gardens on what was once a coconut plantation. Instead of rooms in a tower it has 49 standalone casitas in six types, from Coco Casitas to two-bedroom units and casitas with a private plunge pool. Almost all have a kitchen or kitchenette and a private patio, most with a hammock and barbecue.
On site there are two pools (a livelier main pool and a quieter garden pool), a spa, a small gym and The Coco Café, which the hotel has run itself since June 2023. Guests get a reserved area on Palm Beach with palapas, loungers, beach service and a shuttle, plus snorkelling gear and coolers to borrow.

The address is Bakval 20, inland from the Palm Beach strip in the Palm Beach & Noord area; the hotel puts the beach a 3-minute walk or 1-minute shuttle ride away. A car is useful for Arashi Beach, the California Lighthouse and the rest of the island.
