The Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort is split between two buildings in central Oranjestad. The Renaissance Marina Hotel, the adults-only tower with 297 rooms and suites, faces the marina; the Renaissance Ocean Suites, which take families, sit on the waterfront a short distance south. Marriott gives a total of 555 rooms and suites.
Guests reach the resort's 40-acre (about 16 ha) Renaissance Island by a complimentary water taxi. The island has beaches, a spa cove and Flamingo Beach, where flamingos roam and which is adults-only; access is limited to resort guests during the day (07:00–19:00 per the Aruba Tourism Authority). Back in town there is a 24-hour Wind Creek casino, several restaurants and bars, and a pool.
Location
The Marina Hotel's address is L.G. Smith Blvd 82, in the heart of Oranjestad: Fort Zoutman and the downtown shopping streets are a short walk away, and the airport is a short drive. It is the right base for an Oranjestad walking tour and evenings in town, not for walking straight onto a long beach.
