Aruba Art Fair

Three nights of art, music and food on a San Nicolas street, closing ArtWeek Aruba; the 10th edition is set for 10–12 September 2027.

The Aruba Art Fair is a three-night street festival of visual art, music and food in San Nicolas, the southern town known for its murals. Organised by the ArtisA Foundation, it closes ArtWeek Aruba each September; the 10th edition, "Aruba Art Fair X", is officially scheduled for 10–12 September 2027, after a ninth edition on 11–13 September 2026 that drew more than 100 local and international artists.

What is the Aruba Art Fair?

According to the official site, the fair takes over B. v/d Veen Zeppenfeldstraat in San Nicolas with booths for visual art and craft, live performances of music, dance and spoken word, and food stands on the promenade. The Aruba Tourism Authority's report on the 2026 edition describes live mural painting, installations, music, food trucks and pop-up dining, a Collector Preview Hour hosted by curator Renwick Heronimo and a Sunday mural tour led by organiser Tito Bolivar. The 2026 theme was "Nature × Mankind".

What is ArtWeek Aruba?

The fair is the finale of a week of events. In 2027 ArtWeek runs from 6 to 12 September: ArtTable on Monday 6 September (an open-air painting session at a long table — in 2026 it had more than 100 participants), Art Fashion on Wednesday 8 September (a runway show by local designers, held in 2026 at the Lourdes Grotto in Seroe Preto, on the outskirts of San Nicolas), and the Aruba Mural Festival, which adds new murals to the town's walls. The fair itself fills the three evenings of 10–12 September.

How much are tickets?

The official site lists 2027 prices: a day pass for one night of your choice costs US$ 15, a weekend pass for all three nights US$ 20, and an Art Week all-access pass covering ArtTable, Art Fashion and the three fair nights US$ 200. Tickets are sold through Art Week Aruba as e-tickets with a QR code. Prices can change, so check before buying.

Why go — and how to plan it

The fair is the liveliest way to see what the island's artists are doing now, and it puts you in San Nicolas after dark, when the street feels very different from a daytime visit. Come in daylight first: the San Nicolas murals are best seen in good light, and our street art walk links the main walls. Then stay for the evening programme, with dinner at a local spot such as Charlie's Bar, on the same street since 1941. September is warm and is outside the busy winter season — see our best time to visit Aruba guide — and staying in the south, around San Nicolas or Savaneta, saves a late drive back to the hotel strip.

Know before you go

  • See the murals by day. Arrive in the afternoon for the walls, then stay for the evening fair.
  • Buy the weekend pass. In 2027 it costs US$ 20 for all three nights versus US$ 15 for one.
  • Plan the drive back. San Nicolas is at the southern end of the island, far from the hotel strip; arrange a driver or stay nearby.
